School Pathways Remote Desktop
This allows a School Pathways representative to view your computer remotely
using a technology called VNC.
Choose the appropriate link, depending on who you are working with:
When you are prompted, press "Open" and then "Yes" to install, and your computer will
be shared with a knowledgeable School Pathways technician.
Software Requirements
To use this software you must have:
- Firewalls (software or hardware) allowing outbound connections from
arbitrary local ports to destination ports 50000-50025.
- Locally available DNS service allowing for domains
"support.charterworks.net" and "support.schoolpathways.com".
On the computer being used, you should be able to ping either of
these and get the address: 208.53.66.14
- VNC cannot be already installed or in use. If you don't know what this
is, it's highly unlikely that this is a consideration.
- Windows users should have administrative priviledges.
- Macintosh users do not need administrative priviledges.
Vine Server
Sometimes the above tools don't work with Macintosh. For this situation
we have the Vine Server. Note:
Server port 5500, connect to support.schoolpathways.com 50000 + last
number of name recipient
