ReportWriter Newsletter

It's that time to do your synchronization of ReportWriter for the month. If your days before expiration are less than 6 days, complete a synch before April 30 to keep from having interrupted service. To find the number of days before your RW expires, look at the top blue bar of the RW program.

If you are going to be working on new master agreements before the end of this school year, your new school year calendar must be inputted first. If the calendar has been entered, you'll see the learning periods populate in the 2007/2008 school year of RW. Give us a call if you have questions.

1. Microsoft Vista not supported.: We have not updated ReportWriter to be compatible with Microsoft Vista. This probably will not be available for several months. If you have the option to hold off on the purchase of Vista for the immediate purchase, it would be wise to do so. We’ll keep you posted when the update is complete.

2. Some new features in ReportWriter to improve functionality.

There are a couple of features that have been updated in ReportWriter.

When designating courses, if the student is in grades K-8, Weeks will automatically be defaulted. If the student is a 9-12 student, credits will automatically be defaulted.
When you choose a new learning period to assign work, the NEXT module will be in view. You don't have to scroll down to, say, module 21 to start assigning.
We moved the "add custom" to within the modules so you didn't have to move your mouse over to the Add Custom button. This button is still available though.
If you are assigning in "Objective Format", you can add your own custom assignments/objectives sprinkled throughout the hard coded assignment/objectives. To do this, click on a specific objective, click on Add Custom and type in your custom assign, click on the next hard coded assignment/objective you want to assign, etc. This also works for assigning in Lesson Plan version.

3. New Master Agreement feature!: You can now carbon copy your master agreements TO ANOTHER STUDENT! Click on COPY and then on the "Other Students" button and check it out.

4. RW Jumping to New Module.: When you choose a new learning period to assign work, the NEXT module will be in view. You don't have to scroll down to, say, module 21 to start assigning.

5. New Student Roster Feature!: You can now show your roster and the classes the student is taking BY MASTER AGREEMENT!

6. If your school is using our transcript codes:: Your school can now some SET "alternative course names" to choose when designating a course.
